ACCUNIQ has developed an extremely accurate body composition measurement using bioelectrical impedance in combination with its highly experienced in-house development department.
The measurement is DEXA-validated, DEXA being the most accurate method for body composition measurements.
Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis
ACCUNIQ uses proven BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis)
Importance of body composition analysis
Healthy people have a constant ratio of body composition, such as water and proteins
Accuniq body composition analyzer
ACCUNIQ technology includes analysis of total body water, intracellular and extracellular water across a wide range of frequencies (1kHz–1MHz).
Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis
ACCUNIQ uses proven BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis). BIA is a safe method for measuring resistance within the human body by means of low-level electrical currents. Body fat is a poor conductor, whereas muscle and water are good conductors.
No current flow = high resistance = high impedance
Current flows easily = low resistance = low impedance
Importance of body composition analysis
Healthy people have a constant ratio of body composition, such as water, proteins, fats and minerals. When this balance is disturbed, there is an increasing risk of metabolic diseases, heart problems, obesity-induced diabetes or a disturbed fluid balance.
Multi-frequency measurement
An accurate diagnosis of obesity can only be made when body weight and body fat are assessed together. Muscular people such as athletes and fitness instructors may be overweight on paper, yet still have a relatively low body fat percentage.
8 touch-sensitive electrode method with high precision and repeatability
ACCUNIQ uses the 8 touch-sensitive electrode method to achieve extremely high measurement reliability. These 8 electrodes are divided into two per hand and two per foot.
High correlation with DEXA
There are various methods to measure body composition, such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), the water density method, etc. DEXA, as dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry, is recognised as a more accurate fat-based analysis across three components: fat, muscle and bone. In addition, the measurement method is safe in terms of radiation exposure. As a result, DEXA is regarded as the gold standard.
ACCUNIQ has been validated by IHT of Texas for its accurate analysis method using DEXA, with the result that its measurement reliability is superior to that of the competition.
[BCA Accuracy study at IHT (Integrative Health Technology)
The closer the correlation coefficient (R2) in the graph is to 1, the greater the reliability between DEXA fat mass (LBM) and fat mass (LBM) measured by the BCA. The correlation coefficient (R2) of ACCUNIQ is 0.93, which is higher than the value measured for two competing BCA brands.
The correlation coefficient (R2) of ACCUNIQ is 0.93, which is higher than both the value measured for company A (0.91) and that of company B (0.85).
This demonstrates the accuracy of ACCUNIQ compared to DEXA, a gold standard of body composition analysis.

Try to take each measurement at the same time of day and under the same conditions.

Place your feet on the electrodes.

Hold the handles so that all your fingers are in contact with the electrodes.

Spread your arms away from your chest at about 30°.
Your arms should not be in contact with your chest.

Measurement time:
30–60 seconds!
